A tick can travel from the engine and out the tailpipe. Were you ever able to record the sound. Could be a lifter

yeah, look for soot around the studs or any visible cracks

Sounds like cam phaser clack to me. Have you read the sticky? Does it do it more when the truck is warmed up vs a cold start?

All the phasers and timing parts have been changed except for vct solenoids. All oem parts too. Does it at all temps, sometimes it gets considerably quieter, but it’s random.

Did you have broken guides? Did you clean out the oil pan? Sure sounds like the phaser clack to me but I suppose it could also be the exhaust manifold.

I did not have any broken guides, just sounds like it’s coming from the cat converter on bank 2.
