5.4 revised heads
 

when did they go to the revised heads on the 5.4 my door sticker is 11/07 but the sticker on the motor says 11/05/07 just woundering because ill be doing the plugs and don't really want to deal with broken plugs, and what plugs will I need truck has 110k on it.

Are your coil pack boots brown or black? Old style are black, new style are brown.

You should have the new heads. ENGINES (not trucks) made after 10/09/07 had the new ones.

If yours has the new heads, I recommend Motorcraft SP 509's

Your good to go if the motor build date is 11/05/07.. like NutKase said you have SP509"s .. replace with same and don't forget new boots and springs..

yep boots are brown and according to the dealer it takes the 509 plugs and they told me it has the revised heads. they don't look to hard to do no idea why the dealer wants 2.9 hours to do them but that is what the time/labor book says.

Then you do them.. easy job

Because in addition to 8 spark plugs, they have to R&I 8 coils as well. Like TR said... not a hard job to do.

Simple job
