The 5.4 Nightmare Continues

The 5.4 Nightmare Continues
Good afternoon everyone. I've had so many issues come up over the past several months, many of you probably know me as a regular in this forum. You were all very helpful when I did the timing job in the Spring.
A couple of weeks ago, my 2006 5.4 3v started making a new sound. Only on the first start of the day, it will make a short rattling sound for just a moment. But the intensity of the sound causes me to be concerned. It's a strong vibrating sound. It certainly doesn't sound like the typical timing chain rattle to me. Can anyone guess what this is?
I have recorded the sound, and it's available below. I probably didn't do a very good job of capturing the sound, but I can still hear it just briefly after the engine starts.

Sounds like timing chain rattle to me. Are you getting a "low oil pressure" flash on the display for a split second?
Could drop the pan and look for guide pieces if one felt inclined to do so.
Hope it straightens out for you.

I don't hear anything either. Maybe try opening the hood and recording from inside during start up

Are you talking about that quick 'rumble' sound just as the engine fires?
Try doing a quick 'flood start' (a few seconds of cranking with the gas pedal floored) until your oil pressure light turns off, and then a little more. See if it does that sound with the engine primed with oil. Might not tell you what the problem is, but will narrow it down a bit.

I must have missed what all the turmoil was about!
I used some sound filters on some editing software at work to isolate the sound.
It does sound like chain slap, although hard to say for absolute certainty. Thats why I asked about the pressure light appearing at start.
Agree, it would be better if recorded under the hood.
