Default 2wd with 37s saaaayy whhaaaattt

Well today I finally got some money together and bought 2 nitto mud grapplers 37x13.50 R18. Why 2 you ask? Well first its all I could afford at this point but ill be getting the other 2 in about 2 or 3 months soon as I get some more moneys. Anyway im riding on a 6 inch Pro Comp Stage 1 if you dont know with 35x13.50 mickey thompson mtzs and I wanted to do something to make it a little different than all the other trucks out there with a 6 inch lift. My plan is to add a Pro Comp add-a-leaf to the rear for the extra 2 inches hopefully and then put some 4wd struts up front for the extra 2 up there. I measured them out and the 4wds are about 2 inches bigger than the 2wds so im just hoping that works out the way I am planning. I am hoping for the best and ill let you know how this turns out with plenty of pictures and all the good stuff. The tires come in on friday and my add-a-leaf and struts will go on on monday while I have the day off. Also if you wondering I have 2 nitto terra grapplers for the front so it doesnt look weird and hopefully it will sit level. Wish me luck

Nice. One thing I want to mention, the 4wd strut isn't the only thing that makes up the 2" difference. Its actually that & the knuckle. If you had a 2wd and 4wd side by side, the difference is noticeable. Just wanted to make that aware. Good luck with your installs and post up some pics for sure!

That is true but I got bigger knuckles with my original 6 inch lift so im hoping it all works out. Pics will be up as the install goes along.

The real question is... Why not? It's his truck he can do whatever he feels like to it. I agree with you that a 4x4 would be better but maybe he doesn't need the 4 wheel drive...he does live in florida.

sweet. the only problem i could see is with scrubbing depending on your wheels. in total your lift should be the equivalant of a 4wd with a 6in. kit and one of my friend has a 4wd with a 6in. lift, 37's and it scrubs pretty bad.

Oh yea I already have 4.56 gears which should be ok with these right? lol

Im hoping I wont have too much of a problem with the rubbing but if I have to ill do some trimming. This is my experiment so well see what happens. The process should all be done monday afternoon. Ill be putting the struts on sunday and the add a leafs on monday so wish me luck guys.

I love when people criticize me for doing all this to a 2wd but hey she handles pretty damn good so far and I havent really been in too many situations where I needed the 4wd plus these tires will help out even more. Then again there was this one time, oh and this other time, and this time when..... haha
