Okay... this is where I need the 11 hour 59 minute miracle to come through.. and I'm asking nicely!

Additional Suggestions?

This girl has bought me a few more days... (Quote, "Okay, thank you for letting me know.)

I hope the ODB readers comes in tomorrow. But other suggestions would help.

Now for Duke442 hard time's I'm going to make this girl shudder and say some **** in Spanish I can't understand - on principal.

Thankfully, the good folks at Alamo gave me a brand new truck F150 4 door to go plow this girl for $180 a week.... how they make money on that I have no idea.... But I need to fix this on the quick.

I'll update tomorrow.... maybe Wednesday. I've got to swing in check in on my Kitten. Purrrrrrr....

Default .007 is about .0069 too much.

The camshaft is not loose and does not move around.

It not being level was determined by running the truck without the drivers side valve cover on and seeing the oil hemorrhaging out the back and almost none in the front. Likewise the rollers get gradually looser towards the back - at the last few you can physically rock them back and forth 1/8 of an inch.

It does not appear that the minimal damage to the cam tower and cap could effect the angle this much.

I wonder if it was historically a defect with the truck or...?

The oil stopped flowing as a result of the timing chain guides clogging the intake AND SLUDGE from a lack of maintenance.

I speculate that I'm experience oil flow problems that is compounding in the head.

We put the cover back on to attempt to isolate the TAP TAP TAP sound and it was gone. The cover is loose and partially on.

I'm going to put it back together in a few hours and will update.
I worked at CAT for a few years refurbishing an repairing cylinder heads and blocks. As a machinist I can tell you that the cost to repair those heads would be more than a new one.
Your centerline is probably too far gone , I noticed you acessed the play at only .007 to at the most .01... Understand that .0002 is the maximum deviation typically allowed . If your adament about trying to run it. You could pull the cam out, clip the caps , position and torque the caps back on without the cam. At this point you could just get a ball hone and a cordless drill and try remove all the scaring from the cam bore. Next remove caps reinstall cam in correct position with caps oriented and torqued to spec. Final step Pray . Judging by your .007 assessment I wouldn't even bother with a machine shop , they might be able to sell you a reman that they have.
It is what it is dude, Sorry.
