I own a 2004 F 150 4X4 5.4L V 8 with 125,000 miles on . In the last month the engine makes a rattling noise when i pull up to a stop sign and the truck shakes .If i rev the engine up it goes away .At the time this started a month ago there were no check engine lights or any types of warning lights on in the dash .Two weeks ago it did it and the check engine light came on stayed on .I took it to our local garage and had them hook the scan tool up and it showed " cam sensor and fuel vapor recovery " .The mechanic told me that it gave a list of things to check from wiring connections or shorted wires to bad sensor .He cleared the codes but kept them wrote down and wanted me to bring it back if the check engine light came back on so he could do more testing on it . It has good oil pressure and use the recommended oil and filter according to the owners manual .I change the oil every 3.000 miles .Anybody had this problem before ? The noise came back today .
