Default 5.4 Engine Knock, After Parts Replaced. HELP.

Recently picked up this 05 f150 3v 5.4 for dirt cheap because it's got high miles. Thought it'd be a good town runner for the wife, nice leveling kit and tires. Anyways, I knew it needed some work. Typical ticking and crappy running after warming up. I put new Phasers, Chains, Tensioners and Guides in the truck. Also new 5w20 high mileage synthetic. Truck fires right up and runs awesome cold, but when it warms up it seems like it loses oil pressure because it starts knocking like crazy and I am forced to either shut it off or keep it at an idle where it must keep the oil pump running harder. It sound like worn out chains slapping, but it's all brand new! What's the deal? Could it be a bad oil pump? Thinking if it is, where do I attack first to pinpoint and fix the issue. Need some help ASAP, as I'm looking at fixing it, or selling to get into something different for her again haha. Thanks everyone.

I will say I have no experience with this, but it is just an educated guess from what I read... Check in the oil pan for parts of the guides that broke off blocking your oil pickup.

Yup I used all precision timing components parts aside from the phasers, they are OEM. Okay, that's my next plan. Drop that oil pan and inspect it.

Did you replace the vct solenoid as stated earlier? Ford has updated them as well.

I ran this super code reader with a big 10" display when I was running codes, and nothing of the VCT solenoids came up, so I never bothered to replace them. Usually if they're not functionin they would throw a code, right?

The original VCT solenoids wear out after time. Ford makes an updated version that is more robust than the original. I picked up a set for $95.00 on Amazon. DO NOT BUY THE DORMAN ONES....the OEM Motorcraft parts are the same price. They are not very difficult to change, unless you have a 2007+, then you need to remove the valve cover to get access to the VCT housing.
