Took a look inside the oil pan, no debris or anything major that would cause any blockages. So that was good. Another jug of fresh oil in it haha. Going to hook that code reader up again, guess I'm looking towards those VCT's but on my 05 I have to remove the valve covers to change them. ?

Get an actual reading of the oil pressure. Could be worn bearings causing your oil pressure to be too low to operate the vvt system. Voice of experience, when it was rebuilt had the livernois lockout system installed and is quiet as can be now without vvt.

did you lose any low end power after installing the lock outs? I've heard that happens
