Default 5.4 - Bought the Boots, where's the Springs?

OK, just picked up new Motorcraft boots at O'Reillys, but no springs. Didn't want to deal with Dorman - are they available from Motorcraft?

I bought them on amazon, it comes with the boot and springs. Didn't know they came separate. I bought these ACDelco boots.

I bought the Orileys store brand I don't remember what the brand was called. MasterCraft or something like that. They came with the springs. Always open the box and check the parts before you walk out of the autoparts store lol.

Did check the parts - thought springs were available separately, but not seeing them. Thought I would replace everything while I was in there. Is there a problem with reusing the old ones?

If the springs are shiny and clean with no obvious pitting or corrosion, reuse them.

Thanks guys - will do. Funny that Motorcraft doesn't include them with the boots or sell them separately.

I have always used BWD boots and springs from Autozone. This is going back 15 years......never a issue.

I got the brown carquest boots from rock auto. They came with new springs. If you're going to try and reuse the old ones, be very careful not to stretch or twist them when you pop the old boots off the coils. Personally, I'd just replace them.

^ Used the same when I did my plugs. Seem like good quality.
