Hahaha that's awesome, maybe ill see you around then since I work at the University. Ya I don't do any hunting just a lot of fishing & quading. Not a utility quad like you have though, I ride a sports quad. Yamaha Raptor 700r, if you bring it up we could go riding. I know a lot of good spots.

My Ford Cam phasers and chain tensioners, Head gaskets, and head bolts are all Ordered, shipped and in transit! I Cant wait to tear the motor out! Once the new motor is in all that is left for major components are the tranny and front diff! LOL The truck had a new rear diff installed a year and a half before i bought it

Did you get that kit for the 4.6?

Are you buying just a new complete motor and swapping on the rebuilt heads you have?

Yes, i got the kit for the 4.6. Phaser and tensioner part #'s are the same. It was regular $1042 on for $265 I did research on the kit and the offer is limited time.

I am removing my motor, taking the heads off, and bringing my block to the engine/machine shop that did my heads. It is getting bored 20 over. getting new everything internally. new hd oil pump. he is rebuilding it and giving it back to me with the oil pan back on (finger tight so i can properly seal the timing cover). I am putting the heads back on myself, and the phasers and timing components.

I got a really good deal tho. My engine will be new. heads cost me $580 to get done, and im getting the short block done for $1600. $128 for new head gaskets and head bolts. $265 for new phasers and tensioners. and my cloyes chains and guides were $183 with gaskets. So in total it is $2656. keep in mind its all cash under the table because i know the guy tho lol. I also lost a couple hundred because i had to buy head bolts/gaskets twice.

Nice!
That's a great deal for a new punched out motor!

Let us know if those phasers and tensioners are the revised versions. I will definitely scoop up that last remaining kit if they are.

Just fyi.. Check those cloyes chains closely when you get them. The ones I bought the links were rough on top where it slides on the tensioners guides and I didn't notice until the guides started to wear. The OEM was much smoother.
