Hi all

I am a newbie to this board but not to Fords. I was wondering if you could point me to some threads that concern trouble shooting 4x4. It seems like my truck has decided not to engage in 4 wheel hi and we just got our fist snow. Figures on the last day of summer we get 3inches of snow

 

Does it go into 4X4 LOW ?? lots of fuse's and relays to check...04-08 drivers side kick panel. Look at your book first.

It does go into 4x4 low and I checked the fuses and they look good. Any other suggestions

What year do you have? My '06 decides when it wants to go into 4 x 4. Sometimes it engages and sometimes it doesn't. My year has bad actuator motors, in addition to bad injectors.

 

could be IWE solenoid going bad or the transfer case motor.
