4x2 king ranch front and rear level w/ larger tire question

Hey guys, thanks in advance for your help/advice. After checking the sticky and search we haven't found a clear answer so here is our question;

We have a 2006 f150 KR 4x2 bone stock. We were looking to potentially add a 3" front lift and a 2" rear block. Would this allow for the fitment of LT285/75R18 tires? (34.8" tall, 11.2" wide)

If not, what are our options to fit that size tire?

Thanks! Hopefully this thread will help any future searches :thumbsup:

Yes it will but, I don't think it will sit level with what you mentioned.. the rear of your truck would sit 1" higher than the front.. you may be looking for that look...not sure. are you planning on mounting those tires on the stock wheels ?

Great, thanks for the assistance! So would a 3" up front and a 1" rear be level? We def dont want the nose higher than the rear but are going for leveled. Any yes we will be mounting them on the stock rims.

Thanks again for the assistance :thumbsup:

Just measure front and back on level ground and that will tell you want you need.. not sure if the KR 2WD has a stock block or not. I would not stack blocks if you can stay away from that.. if your truck has a stock block.. I would remove it and replace it with a larger block.

I'd highly recommend not using a 3" level up front. You'll likely run into suspension issues.

3" pushes things way past the geometry it was meant for.

Thanks for that advice, will a 2" or 2.5" up front and a 1" in the rear be enough to fit the tires we are wanting to install?

ok thanks alot! Do you knwo the minimum amount of lift we will need on front and rear in order to run the tires we are wanting to install? Our thinking was that there isn't a block on the 4x2

Thanks again!

I don't know if 2 or 2.5 would fit those tires. According to the tire fitment guide a leveled RWD can only fit 33" tires. That is with a 2" level I believe I dont know if a 2.5 would give enough clearance or not. I also don't like the idea of going over 2 or 2.5 at most due to the added stress on the suspension. I recommend nothing over 2" for a 4x4 but you don't have to worry about that. Hope someone can give you an answer.
