Default 4WD Lift Coilover Struts on a 2WD

Can this be done? I'm looking to eventually replace my strut assemblies and I figured, what a better time than to upgrade the coilovers at the same time. I'm currently using a 2.5" HBS spacer on top of my worn 2WD OEM coilovers. So, theoretically an adjustable 4WD 2" lift coil over should net around 3" of lift? Any good information would be appreciated

Are the OEM 2WD and 4WD coil overs different?

I have read that the 4WD coil overs have spring mounts that sit 1" higher than the 2wd versions.

I am currently running this all I did is change out the 2wd whole assem for a 4wd unit rides just a tad stiffer and sits about half to inch lower than a 2wd sits with a level on it I like it though and would never go back to my level I had before.

So, would these 4WD coilovers be too much?

Can 4WD coils and 2.5" leveling kit work on a 2WD?

I doubt it. It would probably have way too much angle

http://www.gorancho.com/suspension.p..._4wd#quicklift

So these would net 2.5" plus the extra 1" being 4wd coils. All in all 3.5" would be the gain on these? Sounds like too much stress on the control arms
