Default 4.6l headers?

Looking into getting some headers i have seen some long tube and shorty one but not sure what the difference is. Any help is appreciated!

long tubes will offer better performance, shorties aren't supposed to make that much of a difference. but don't go with either unless you have other modifications.

if that was to my reference, nothing in particular. other power modifications. many available, some work in groups, some are fine alone, some add a little power, some grouped together double it. headers help flow and increase power, but they won't do much if everything else is stock - can even end up worsening performance. stock manifolds are sufficient for a stock engine.

upgraded intake etc and high flow exhaust, etc - I'd personally at that point begin to consider short tube headers.

a built, ported engine with boost added and compression raised? you'll see a massive gain from hi-performance long tubes.

all depends how far in you want to go.
