Default 4.6 Towing/ Gears Question

I have yet to tow anything significant with my current truck; drift boat, trailer with 3 quads/2 Bikes and utility trailer with about 2000LBs of fire wood. Anyhow, I'm looking to do a camping trip in early spring and need to tow a friend's ToyHauler and am wondering if my truck can tow it. Fully loaded I think we're close to 6500 or 7000LBs. I did this before with my old FX4 5.4 3v and it did fine, slow up the mountains though.

I have the 4.6, factory tow package, Edge and 3.73 gears. Running 35 MTs now but can throw on my 20" wheels with 33" all terrains. I'm still on the fence about regearing to 4.56 but if it will allow me to do this tow easily then I might just pull the trigger and regear. We are thinking of buying a small camping trailer anyways and will be towing a lot more so regearing may be in my best interest. Thoughts?

I'm running 4.56's in my truck with 35's.... It pulls great.... Defananly helps in the hills. My street/strip car, trailer and all the gear and tools adds about 6,000lbs.

OK I see.

Mods can you remove this thread and put in the towing section, I'll probably get more responses in that section
