Default 3rd Brake Light LED's Now No Cruise Control!

I bought a Putco LED 3rd brake light and discovered that despite the ads it is NOT "plug and play." After some research here I finally got the harness disconnected and was able to install the lights. They seem to work well and I really like the way they look.

Now, I've learned that my cruise control doesn't work! After reading some posts about tail lights, it may be the same resistance problem that's been discussed previously.

Does anyone know if there's an easy fix for this?

If not, is anybody aware of a brand of LED light that WON'T screw with the cruise control?

You may want to see if Bucko came up with a fix since he posted this: https://www.f150forum.com/f4/plannin...e-light-23613/

my buddy and i bought resistors from the auto store and spliced them in, i have LED bulbs around my whole truck. before that EVERYTHING electrical went haywire. and i bought some $36 LED 3rd light off of ebay that works just fine. some are pre-wired for the low resistance, some arent.

The $10.00 load resistor should fix it....finding a way to make it stationary (not bounce around between the roof panels) will be the hardest part. Don't wrap it in anything, as they can get warm.

Maybe solder it to a breadboard and mount the breadboard.
