Well I decided I'm just going to go with a body lift then when I get some more cash get a leveling kit. What body lif to you guys recommend seen someone already mentioned performance assesories. Should I go with that or another one. Thinking about going with performance assesories but want to hear your opinions first.

I am thinking about a body lift myself and the only one i would consider buying would be the performance accessories. The kit has absolutely everything.

Installed both kits myself, the body lift did suck a lil(bout 12 hours). I have an 05 XLT 4x4 with a 2" spacer in the front and an add a leaf in the rear along with a 3" body lift from Performance Accessories(nice kit with everything). I am running 325/65/18(35x13.50) nitto terra grapplers on a motometal 18x10 rim and they barely grab the bottom of my front fender when the wheels are turned halfway, at low speeds turning quickly and in reverse. At lock they do not rub at all. I am about to swap out the 2" spacer for a Hell Bent 3" to fix the rubbing issues. I also bought these rims used and didnt measure the backspace before I put them on but I will when I replace the front spacers. They stick out a good 2 inches, might be why they reach the fender. When I get home later I will post pics of the truck.

P.S. I ran a 275/70/17(33x11) on the stock FX4 rims with no lift and had no rubbing at all.

P.P.S. You can run a 40" tall tire on the stock rim as long as you dont go wider than 13". I bought the 325/65/18's on stock FX4 rims from a guy with a leveling kit and a 1/2" wheel spacer, to clear the upper control arm.

Hope this helps as I too searched and searched this site and others before I lifted my truck to see what would fit with no luck.

Got the pics, as you can see the 3" spacer in the front will almost level it out. I wanted the factory rake to look right when I tow my car trailer. It was dawn when I took em, sorry. Gap guards are coming soon!

I have the same 04 lariat 4x4 but I went with a true 3" spacer from ebay and the p.a. body lift as for the body lift if you are doing it yourself you need to be able to weld if you look at the white truck at the back wheel between the frame and bed that square piece of steel has to be welded in to support the bed. I tried to run 35" mudgrapplers on my stock 18" wheels and it rubbed on the upper a arms so if you are going to run stock wheels get some spacers.

I had a buddy of mine put my 3 inch body on. he has been working on trucks/cars since he was 18 he is 45 now... he said that the process was fairly easy but... ran into problems that were just a pain in the rear. If you know buddies that know what they are doing and do it cheap i would do that! releave yourself some stress. i payed him 200 cash and he wanted to charge me nothing! I am also thinking about getting aftermarket torsion keys (add a leaf for 2 inch lift comes with the keys) I personally think that will give me roughly a 5inch lift (give or take) the kit i found was $159 In all i would only have payed like $600 cheaper than a suspension lift still getting a good look and a half way decent ride instead of throwing blocks under it to get a lift and it riding like a tank! Can anybody tell me if its a good idea or should i just leave the body lift w/o the keys! hope i helped out a little! Keep Driving em Boys!

I put the "performance" body lift on my truck. I would go with that, it came with EVERYTHING After i bought that i did not have to fork out anymore money for other BS. It came with the blocks (12 in all i only used 8 on mine and sold the other ones to my buddy), bolts, and hose extention for the gas tank. There was one problem i had and still is a problem for me. If u have a manual 4 wheel drive shifter on the floor u have to extend it (BE SURE TO DO THIS) i only have access to 4 wheel HIGH i cannot get it into 4 LOW i have to get it extended and plan on doing that this weekend. It almost got me into trouble when we had a big snow here in the mountains of nc i ran it into a ditch because 4 high was just too much speed for the snow. Hope this helps! I would go with it! looks good and get the gap guards or fab your own. the gap from the body and chassis is not rediculous but would look better if covered up. the guards are a little pricey IMO and planning on fabbing my own! Again hope this helps!
