call these guys they will do a custom lift for your truck what ever size you want.. I was looking at having an 18" lift done for mine and it was $5400 complete fab install and alignment. www.bncoffroad.com

How about you dont do a lift kit. Do a long travel suspension kit instead or even a mid travel kit, then get some fender flares and pull your bedsides. You will be able to fit 35's or 37's but you wont look like every other truck on the road.

Do you know of anyone doing this or pics of it done. I really like the look of the FX4 Mikegmang turned to a lifted raptor.

Yeah I agree I've been looking through his build thread for the past few days.

And thanks patclarke I'll look more into that.

Also, the larger you go in tire size, the faster your brakes wear out, stress on diff, tranny, ect.

I assume a lift is also in your future (profile pic)
I'm gonna disagree on your gearing statement. I am running 35's with the factory 3.73s and I hate it... tremendously under powered.. I didn't realize how bad til last weekend. Met a guy at a car show on Saturday with an 06 Lariat with a similar setup as me, 35's, EDGE EVO, K&N CAI and magnaflows. he had a 6 inch lift but other than that we were running similar setups, except he had 4.56 yukons in his. Thank baby jesus he let me take his for a spin because that reaffirmed my decision to regear. it felt like a completely different truck than mine. I drove it for about 8 miles, down the interstate and back through the city streets and it was just so much more powerful "feeling" than mine. When I stepped into the gas pedal it just moved soo much better than mine. I really felt the power rather than simply hearing and barely feeling it in mine... Lift kit just got put on hold, next MOD on the list to be done is regearing

I think most people will agree if you go to 35's or bigger you should re gear. If you dont have the money for both I would re gear first.

I agree with you. But I think it's somewhat understood that there will be some power loss going as big as 35s with stock gears... even with the lower 3.73s that came on our trucks. That's why I said that my truck was just "ok" with my tires. If money was no object, I think we would all re gear to the appropriate ratio for our larger tires. For example, Raptors have 35s and were designed with 4.10 gears to compensate. But I'm willing to deal with the somewhat annoying up shifting and down shifting associated with the loss of power from 35" tires. However, as good as 37"s would look on my 9" lifted truck, I refuse to suffer any additional power loss and add even more driveline stress to my already stressed truck.

I have heard other people on here claim that as a general rule of thumb, the jump from 35"s to 37"s would be tough without re gearing. I would mostly agree with that because any more power loss would be unacceptable IMO.
