35" spare tire
Hey has anyone ever tried to put a 35 on the the spare? Will it fit under the box?
Wondering the same thing. It would suck to get a flat and be stranded. Bump.
another bump. I've been debating the same thing.
Will not fit
yea, ive researched this before and found it wouldnt work out. i saw someone say that a really worn down 35" could work but that im not completly sure on. best thing to do is have it lay in the bed or buy one of those aftermarket tailgates that can carry tires.

What is the biggest tire that can fit in original spot?
theres a 275/65/18 under there now ... so by the looks of it not much bigger
Guess I'm not the only one that was curious..
I just ordered 35's and a 6" lift.. I will probably just strap it into the bed of the truck.. It's too bad the spare tire box wasn't a tad bigger |
When I got my new tires but on the tire shop was able to fit a 35 spare underneath. It wasn't a brand new tire but it still had a good amount of tread on it.

If you have the stock exhaust it won't fit. If you have changed the exhaust you may be able to remove the stock heat shield and fit a 35"
There must be some way to make it fit, frame is the same on a Raptor and they must have a full size spare under there.

2004 FX4. I have a new BFG KM2 35x12.50x18 mounted on the stock steel wheel. Fits no problem. Truck has the stock exhaust. https://www.f150forum.com/webkit-fak...84B1/imagejpeghttps://www.f150forum.com/webkit-fak...6833/imagejpeghttps://www.f150forum.com/webkit-fak...3E69/imagejpeghttps://www.f150forum.com/webkit-fak...16E0/imagejpeg
