Now are the weight you guys are referring to the manufactures spec without rims? I weighed my 35" hankook dynapro mt's, on stock 18" wheels and they weighed 112 pounds each.

For 2 years i got 285 miles to a 26 gallon tank on 295/70R18 Terra Grapplers. I put my 275/70R18 Cooper LTZ's back on my truck and now i'm back up to around 340 miles to a tank.

The weights I was giving are from the tire manufacturer, that is just the tire, dry with no air...but your wheels (assuming they're alloy) don't way a whole lot, its the tires that create the weight..

Tirerack.com is a good place to find the tire weights, look under the Specs tab

I get 15 MPG it a little over with the 33 toyo mts. I've got an airraid cai that helps that also. I was jw by going to a 34.6 inch big at would I lose any MPG or stay the same due to being less tire weight.

What year do you guys have? I am getting 14.2 - 14.8 on my 4.6 05. It's got just basic tires and I want to get some bigger ones. At least in the 30s.

Depends on your driving - mostly city versus freeway and where you rest in the RPM band.

Short Answer = 1 to 2 mpg difference; I started with 32s, then 33s, and now have 35s.

going from a 33" mud terrain to a 315 (34.6") all terrain tire isn't going to really improve or hurt your mileage a whole lot. I'm willing to bet it'll probably stay pretty close to what you're getting now.

As for the rim size, an 18" vs. a 20" wheel doesn't effect anything as long as the overall diameter of the tire stays the same. If you do all highway and no offroading, get a highway tire or all terrain if you're worried about mpg's. I only went with a mud terrain because i wanted the look
