300,000 mile service
After rolling 325,000 miles and then fixing all of the rust, cab corners, wheel wells, rocker, it was now time to finish my list. Had a small oil leak showing on bell housing, pulled transmission thinking it was a rear main, but instead was the torque converter seal into the pump.(Ford rebuilt trans 75,000 miles ago) Since the transmission was out, may as well do a rear main seal on the engine. After rear main, checked out exhaust bolts, they are easy to get to with the transmission out, 1 found broken, may as well replace them all and new manifolds. Starter solenoid was loose, new starter. Well since it is on the rack, new rear Fox 2.0 shocks. Since the rears are done, may as well do Fox 2.0 fronts. Noticed a little frame rust where A/C water drips down. Grind out rust, weld in a bit of steel, and paint it up. For the miles I have, I don't think it was too bad. 2006 FX4 crew cab True Blue color.
