Default 3'' suspension lift

im trying to install a 3 inch skyjacker suspension lift but while looking over the instructions it says i need a spring compressor? is this something that i need to have or is there a way to do it with out one. how much do they usualy run? what size tires could i run after i put this on? i already have a 2.5 in leveling kit. i have a 2006 2wd xl by the way.

I think the 3" will replace your leveling kit, but i'm not sure. It did when I bought my Rancho's QUickLIft for the front.

As for the spring compressor, yes, you need this. You can get them from a local Harbor Freight, maybe an auto parts store has them. Typically they run $25-55 depending on which you get, but all work. You can also take your struts and your new ones to a 4WP store and they can do the coil spring swap for you, for like $80. I'm sure if you dont have a 4WP store around, another local shop should be able to do so.

That's a lot of work for half an inch in the front, as Vano said, you'll need to take the leveling kit off to do this.

You'll probably notice a stiffer ride from the AALs.

sell the level kit here, people are always looking for them. if your new kit calls for a spring compressor i would rent one. it can be a dangerous without one. just ask my friend, mister one eye.

Return or sell the 3", and just get a set of blocks or add a leafs. You can always go body lift like Vano to get the 3".
