Default 2015 Wheels on an '08 (offset question)

A guy locally has a set of 20"s with new Wranglers off a '15 he's selling cheaper than I get get just tires. I want to pull the trigger on it, but I have some lingering concerns about fit (offset). I found a post or two where someone had done the swap, and didn't seem to have any problems. However, from what I've found online, the offset on the 15 wheels is different (9Jx20 ET30 vs. 8.5Jx20 ET44 on '04-14s). Even this info is conflicting, as I've come across a site that says the offset on the 20"s has been unchanged since '04. Bottom line, are there any issues running '15 20"s on an '08? Thanks

Can you take your truck over to the sellers place, and mount one of them on your truck? This would solve your concerns.

Good point. I could ask. I guess if they fit/clear calipers, and turn to lock with no rubbing, I should be good.

There have been a couple people on here put the 2015 wheels ( 20" sport wheels) on their 04-14
without issue.

Dude isn't willing to let me test fit them. Says I can buy them, and return them if they don't fit. Smells fishy.

I put 20's from the 15 lariat on my 13 and they fit well, only thing is the lugs are threaded differently so I had to use my original lugs which are 2 inches, but nevertheless they fit my rig

What wheels are they and whats his price? I know they will fit as the lug pattern is the same and as already stated, people have done it. Offset on a stock wheel from year to year won't vary much at all.

20" PVD Chrome with Goodyear Wranglers. 800 miles on them. He's asking $1100. I just priced a set of Michelins for my existing 20s for $1070.

I paid $520 for a set of 4 Cooper Discoverer HT Plus, 285/50/20. Thoses should fit fine but thoses Goodyear Wranglers are a low tier soft tire. They are junk compared to Michelins.

That's a great price. I can't find them here locally for less than $650. Discount has the HTP for $640. Both are prices un-mounted. Also, the HTP and H/T Plus don't come with Cooper's tread life warranty. While I hear great things about both of these tires, the fact they don't have a treadlife warranty is curious.
Edit: On Discount Tire's website, it indicates that the HTP has a 65K mile warranty. However, Cooper's website does not list the HTP or H/T Plus as a mileage-warrantied tire...only workmanship. Confusing. Is it possible the treadwear warranty is through Discount Tire, and not Coooper?
