I was going to give you the HU before I threw it away because in my opinion the factory stuff is junk. If you need it flashed, that would require the dealer, which = money. So your logic is flawed on doing it on the cheap. FYI, I'll post when and where I want. Just because you don't like the answers you receive, you go on the defensive? You are welcome to block me...good luck.

Not being defensive. I just wanted answers to the questions. I have my own reasons and logic for doing things in such a manner as I wish. I'm simply trying to learn all the possibilities at my disposal before I decide what the final outcome will be. I appreciate the advice. I know the easiest fix would be to purchase an aftermarket unit. However, I want to keep the look of my truck factory unless I'm going to do a major upgrade with a navigation unit built in and right now I'm not willing to make such an investment. This is as much a learning experience as trying to achieve a goal. i can get the unit programmed through Ford at not cost due to a friend being the parts manager at the local dealer. I just dont like asking for favors and I want to understand how it all works. I wonder if the original unit can be programmed to accept the Aux input? What are the options to wire it into the existing DVD wiring which is programmed into the unit already? Thanks again for the input and I apologize for being rude in the previous post.

Thanks
