Bought a 2008 XLT with 4.6L about three months ago. Have only gotten it down to maybe 1/8 tank, does this truck have some sort of gas light that comes on? If so, how many gallons should be left when it comes on?

no they do not, at most it will pop up where the odometer is and say check gauge

At around 50 miles till E, all you get is a check fuel level warning.

When mine says low fuel warning I still have about 6gals left

mine goes off at 3.5 gallons left, which would be about 50 miles ...but, i have a 36 gallon tank.

Mine goes on with about 50 miles left. Scares the heck outta me.

Mine stops running with about 0 miles left.

Low fuel lights are about as unnecessary as TPMS and oil change reminders, IMO.

I fill my truck up when it gets to 1/4 tank. I don’t know why any one would need to risk it and run that low.
