" cal" issues again
Now that its fall the cal issues are happening often again. If we turn off the ignition and restart it works correctly. We are going to a different dealer for service to see if they will help. although it seems like Ford does not recognise the problem

continued "cal" issues
We went to another dealer to try and fix the continued "cal " issues on our compass and although it happens to us almost daily the ford service people say they see no problem and therefore ford will not pay to fix it.This is the second dealer who seems to care less about a problem that has been ongoing for 2 years since we bought the new truck .Has anybody found a fix ??

As mentioned earlier in this thread, my dealer replaced the rearview mirror which has the compass sensor in it. I have not had a CAL message since and it has been below freezing several times since. This was a warrenty repair.

You were right we got the mirror replaced and no more "cal"
Ford was still a pain in the butt and threatened to not reimburse the dealer because they did not take a picture of it showing |"cal"so they were sure that both us and the dealer were ripping them off for a rear view mirror.
a great way to keep customers

I have the same issue during cold weather. Made me believe it was the temp saying calculating . But it always came back so I never looked into it.

I guess the first time I carry it in for any other work, I'll get them to swap out the mirror then. Had the problem many times during the winter, but none at all since Spring.
