Default 2008 ford f150 question

i drive a 2003 ranger right now and i am trying to get rid of it and get a f150 i cant really find any good deals locally but the other day i drove by a carlot that had a 2008 f150 fx4 for 14900 but it was a traveling salesman vehicle and it has a 120000 would this be a good buy or just a little to risky?

Price seems a little high for the amount of miles it has,but its only 3 1/2 old and im sure it was maintained.Being a traveling truck.

Man I would say its a pretty good buy. I bet the KBB is 18k without looking on the FX4. I searched for 3 months to find the truck I wanted, all I wanted was center shift and 04-08 4x4 w. 5.4l. I found several for around 17 or 18 but I only had 14 on hand. Finally I found the one for 13900. Its a 04 that just rolled over 100k. I bought it and did some basic upkeep like change the oil, tranny fluid, fuel filter, air filter, and cleaned up the TB on it and it ran great. Well after that I took it to be professionally looked at, Found it had a crushed front section of the oil pan I somehow missed, a broken actuator, and a cracked manifold. Ended up putting 2g back into it. So basically my story to share is not to buy the cheapest truck you can find because it may just end up costing the same and be a lot more hassle.

Why would a travel truck need to be 4WD? Take it to YOUR mechanic (or one well recommended in your area) to take a look at it. Good Luck!
