I took it to Ford...they flashed the transmission program and checked it for errors but found nothing...it seems that this is how all the trucks shift {according to them} nowadays!...the only way to remove the hesitation is to buy a programmer with adjustable shift points and do it yourself..as far as it hurting the truck....Ford assured me that everything is fine and if I ever feel that there is a problem that they will do a diagnostic check and evaluate it for free....minus time spent going down there and waiting!!

Default 2008 F150 Transmission Slip

When was your truck manufactured? My 2008 F150 was built at the Dearborn Plant in Nov 2007.

I am going to post and see if all 2008 F150 owners are experiencing this problem - I cannot believe that a transmission is designed to slip - I think Ford is blowing smoke...

I love my truck but I want Ford to fix this problem

i have an '05 that did the same thing. it only did it when shifting into 2nd gear. it would rev up and catch 2nd really hard. then i made the mistake of buying and edge evo and blew it up 2 days later.......my bad. i guess that means it time to upgrade!

I had the TSB done to my truck months ago, it shifts fine now. They have to upgrade the software in the trans. computer. This will be free until the original warranty runs out.

For what it's worth, I have an 08 4.6 stx and it shifts fine at all speeds, just like every other vehicle. So it being normal is BS.

Is there any possibility that resetting the computer would stop this, mine has the same problem?
