Default 2008 Driver's Side Heated Mirror Glass

I need to order a replacement mirror glass for my driver's side outside mirror. Both driver's and passenger's are heated mirrors but for some reason the mirror on the drive'r side looks different. It's hard to explain but the outer perimeter of the mirror itself looks different. The perimeter is more 'clear', while the glass inside the perimeter has a subdued...almost tinted look. The passenger side is 100% 'clear'. Why is this? Pic is a closeup of the bottom of the driver's side mirror. I thought it may be auto dimming but I looked at the spec sheet and it doesn't list the truck as having auto dimming outside mirrors

Does the side mirror dim when there are lights behind you? Since it's a Limited I would guess it does. Mine is a Lariat and the rear view and drivers side dim when someone is behind me.The option is actually called "Electrochromic" I think.

EDIT ..mine does not call out side view either, just --- With Electrochromic R/View Mirror ---

Maybe it does? I never noticed. It does kinda look like the finish on my auto-dimming rear view mirror. I'll pay attention tonight while I'm driving. Thanks.

Ok, need help. On Rock Auto, I found electrochromic, but it says 'w/puddle lamps, except towing package'. I don't have puddle lamps or power fold, but have the tow package. Could someone put a second set of eyes on the list for me? I can't find what I need.
Edit: Unless by 'except towing package', they are implying the power folding tow mirror...which I do not have. I have 3.73s, trans cooler, 7pt plug.

Here's one on ebay for $233 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2010-Fo...5T28Lz&vxp=mtr
Might be cheaper to find a complete used mirror cheaper

Thanks, EBC. I had no idea the fix was so expensive. Guess I can live without the mirror heat.

It's the auto-dim that's expensive. An aftermarket heated glass can be bought fairly cheap...
