I just made the swap to a fx4 cluster an the ac compressor dont come on....how can i fix this problem??

Check the charge on the a/c system.. fuses, there's some under the hood too.

You can't swap certain clusters. Your ac will not work with that cluster. You need one from a truck that has manual ac.

You're also going to notice you chimes do not sound, your dome light doesn't come on when you open the door, etc.

I was always under the impression than a re-flash should fix this... or so I've read on certain threads back when I was looking into cluster swaps.

What year and model is your truck and what year did the FX4 cluster come from?

A reflash only adds the correct mileage.

Both trucks need to have manual ac. If you get a cluster from a truck that has the auto climate control, your manual ac won't work.

Cluster swaps are a bit more straight forward for 04-05 trucks.

Its wierd....everything works but the ac....dome light an chimes both work....just the compressor....when i put the old one back in ....no problem....cool sailing..is there some wire i can switch around or am i just screwed??

What truck do you have? You'd probably need a cluster form from an XL, STX or XLT from 2007-2008.

Does your dome light come on when you open the door? Does the odometer light up when you open the door? Do you get a chime when you leave the headlights on, remove keys and open the door?

I have a 08 stx wit electric windows an locks....the. cluster lights up when i open wit the remote...i have a chime when the door open...dome light works...only problem is the ac compressor....i dont know what truck the cluster came from....? So to get the ac to work i must get a cluster from a truck that has manual ac??
