Have them hook up a good scanner and watch the camshaft position sensor on each bank, I'm willing to Ned one is not advancing or retarding like the other.

I ended up having broken vanes in my phazer with under one oil change on them.

My truck does the exact same thing. Only in the summer months though. I went to heavier oil and stopped it dead in its tracks. 5/30. I swear by it. My truck now runs perfect. Been running the oil over a year now with no issues. Atleast give it a try. There are plenty of threads on here debating the heavier oil.

Mine did it a few times last summer while pulling the travel trailer. I would go to put it in reverse after driving for a while and it would act up. Changed the viscosity of the oil to a 5-30 and hasn't done it since.

The mechanic just told me that they are looking in to a new computer. I think they are headed down the wrong path. Mechanic is starting to get short with me because I call twice a day to check on it. I give him suggestions after reading things on here, but I don't think he cares for it. If they only changed one solenoid, im not sure why they wouldn't change the other instead of the computer.

No update from dealer or mechanic. Kinda pissed. So the dealer has my two vehicles that I traded in for truck. The agreement was that truck had to pass my inspection before the sale is complete. Should I tell them to take the truck and shove it and go pick up my cars or should I be patient and wait? What would you guys do?

I say leave it for now and see what tomorrow brings. Go down there and meet face to face if possible. Are they not responding at all?

They just don't give me daily updates unless I call. I bought it from a chevy dealer. They weren't familiar with the Triton engine so they hired a 3rd party mechanic down the street. I have been in communication with that mechanic. He just seems to keep throwing parts at it till its fixed. The latest he said was he suspected the computer. I dunno what the heck to do.

Is the dealer paying for all the work?
