Default 2008 4X4 Super Cab W/5.5 bed leveling (raise)

I have a Super Cab w/ a 5.5 bed. I want to raise it a little (leveling kit) but I am afraid that since it is such short wheel base it will ride ruff (bouncy). I am adding 18" 2016 wheels w/265/70R tires.

Need some recommendations to try to keep the same ride quality (or close to it) please.

Thanks!

How high do you want to go? Level it or just raise the front a little? Measure from the center of the wheel to the fender arch front and back and see how much higher the rear is.

On a 2008, you don't need more then a 2" level. The ride may change just slightly as you'd be altering the geometry of the suspension.

personally, I don't like leveled trucks as they squat when you put anything in the bed or tow. Something like a 1" level would give you a little take still.

I want to raise the front and back. I was thinking 2.5 in the front. Should I do 2" or 2.5" in the back as well?

Depends on if you want it level or want a little rake. Have you measured your truck yet?

I want some rake. Right now I have 17" wheels on it and the rear is 2" higher than the front. I would assume with the 18" wheels that I am going to put on it the height will be the same.

Is it a visual thing you're after? I have rear end leveling bags on my truck. But I got those for when I'm pulling a trailer or for heavy loads. My rear air suspension is made by Firestone. I paid a little over $400 installed.
