2008 2wd XLT Non-Replaceable Carrier Bearing
Hello All,
So I've been getting some noise coming from the driveshaft area of my 2wd 2008 F150 XLT long bed. It started as a slight whine but now its more of a growl.
After some extensive forum searching and youtube searching. I'm pretty sure it a bad carrier bearing.
I can find the carrier bearing online. But everything i've found is telling me the carrier bearing is non-serviceable.
Its a 2 piece driveshaft. Is it true that I'll have to cough up the money for a new driveshaft?

Well, I'm going to take the driveshaft out this Thursday and see what happens. It seems like the only place I can find a carrier bearing is online. I'll replace the U-joints to see if that solves the problem. If not I'll figure something out. I'll report back with my findings.
