Default 2007 f150 a/c questions

My air conditioning starts out nice and cold, but as a drive down the road it goes from cold to cool, and back and forth. seems to do it on all speeds. when the truck is idling it blows cold air. no back and forth. anybody got any ideas?

Normal, you have varying air flow through the front of the truck and varying engine RPM's when driving around which affects the temp of the ac.

I agree, normal cycling, the clutch will engage and disengage depending on what blower speed your on so that the compressor doesn't labor too hard. When its blowing colder that means its engaged, cooler means disengaged. (Lots more to it, but the basic idea for your question) When you get hot or outside temp air is when you need to worry.

Does this sound like it could be it?

FORD:
2005-2008 F-150
LINCOLN:
2006-2008 Mark LT
ISSUE:

Some 2005-2008 F-150 and 2006-2008 Mark LT vehicles equipped with Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) may exhibit intermittent periods of warm air output in Auto mode with the temperature control set between 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit (18-22 degrees Celsius). Some 2005-2008 F-150 vehicles equipped with Electronic Manual Temperature Control (EMTC) may exhibit periods where the cabin temperature cannot be maintained with the control ****. Some customers may also complain the heat cannot be reduced without rotating the control **** well into the Cool/Blue range.
ACTION:

Refer to the following Service Procedure to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE

The condition may be caused by a faulty temperature blend door actuator.
Check actuator activity.
EATC systems may be monitored with the IDS PID (LBLNDPOS).
EMTC systems may be observed through the right side of the instrument panel with the glove compartment door positioned downward.
Erratic PID activity or an actuator that appears to be erratically hunting for correct position during the condition should be replaced. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 412-01, for removal and installation details.
NOTE: THE IGNITION KEY MUST BE OFF WHEN REPLACING THE ACTUATOR. ENERGIZING THE ACTUATOR BEFORE INSTALLATION ON THE HEATING VENTILATION AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) CASE WILL CAUSE THE PART TO BECOME MISS POSITIONED AND CORRECT ORIENTATION WILL BE LOST. INCORRECT ACTUATOR OPERATION MAY RESULT.

PART NUMBER PART NAME
9L3Z-19E616-E Actuator - Motor Asy

I had a similar issue with my 2007 and the above TSB took care of it, when the actuator was replaced.

Triple Digits this week in Texas too and I have had similar issues with mine too. Almost seems like the A/C is going out then all of a sudden it cools back off. Did this TSB have a number that can be provided if I continue to have the issue like Robdog is having

Same issue here.. someone told me I had to install EFans to solve this issue. It is rather annoying.. I had my AC sucked down and recharged which made it colder but it still goes from hot to cold all the time while driving.

i replaced the temperature blend door actuator back in march. its not acting like it did when that stopped working. when the blend door stopped working, it just blew hot air all the time. no matter where i adjusted the temp control **** to. think the part was only 40 dollars, and took less than an hour to change out. cant find the part number right now. will keep looking.
