2007 F150 5.4 coolant leak.
Hi there, just hoping someone can help me solve a problem I'm having with my '07 F150 5.4 with 145 000 kms.
Just started a long road trip yesterday,
Drove the truck approx 1800 Kms in two days not a hiccup from the truck the entire drive. 15 miles from my destination, I got stuck in heavy traffic, temperature outside was 33 degrees Celsius (91 degrees Fahrenheit). It was extremely hot stuck in traffic while idling for about 20 minutes. Got going again could smell coolant through AC vents. Parked, checked for leaks and seen no signs of leaks. Checked again in 10 minutes and there was a puddle of coolant under the truck. Checked all the hoses that I can see from the rad to the engine and to the reservoir- all are dry. Truck never over heated at all and there's still lots of fluid in the reservoir. Drove another 5-10 miles to my destination with no more issues and no more leaks. Bottom of the engine is wet with coolant around the drain plug for the engine oil but I can't see where it came from.
My question: does anyone have any idea what could have caused this or is there anything I should be concerned about.
Thank you.

Park it on a level spot, and check for your leak. Look around your water pump and radiator.
Mine looked like this when my rad went on me.
