Question 2007 F150 150k milage upgrades/replacements?

I have a 2007 F150 with a 4.6L SOHC V8 (2 valve) engine. Going on 150k miles on stock parts. Would l benefit from a high M340HV volume oil pump? What other upgrades/replacements do you recommend for my engine?

Always used mobile 1 synthetic oil every 5k miles.

Are you the original owner?

Is there any reason you think you need a new oil pump? Low oil pressure (from a mechanical gauge)?

Often, the old adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies. The 4.6 2v is a stout motor that can go 3-400k miles of abuse (think recycled cop cars turned into NYC taxis) on original parts.

Thanks for replies everyone. I am not the orig owner. I do know the orig owner, they kept records of every oil change. That is how I know every 5k the oil got changed. Haven't tested oil pressure from a mechanical gauge yet.

" The 4.6 2v is a stout motor that can go 3-400k miles of abuse (think recycled cop cars turned into NYC taxis) on original parts." Thats good to hear. Reading/Watching so many videos on the V8 Trition horror show its not event funny. Mostly about the 5.3L 3valve model. But even with these models, its about regular oil changes and maint that help them stay healthy longer.

2v and 3v engines are entirely different animals. The 3v issues won't apply to you.

Plugs - n - boots at the recommended intervals or less.
Oil changes on time.
Air filter changes on time.
Run some Techron/Gumout/P.E.A.-based fuel injector cleaner through it once or twice a year.

If you're worried about sludge or nasty in the engine, run some 10w-30 diesel oil with a pint/quart of Marvel's Mystery oil; if that combo doesn't turn pitch black in a couple thousand miles, you're good-to-go.
