There is a certain amount of time ( which is unknown) that you need to change them. Its better to change them at 50K, or even 25K miles, because if they are gonna break, atleast they break on you, and you have to pay the bill instead of never having any problems with the plugs 100k miles down the road and letting the next person have to deal with it after you have traded it in. I think im going to get off the computer and go try to fix something that is not broken and try to spend some cash that i originally didnt have to spend.

I think there is a little size envy going on here...He's just wishing he had a bigger engine But seriously dont come into a thread that is talking about known legitimate concerns and try to be a smart ***. We change our plugs early to save headaches down the road. Would you rather pay a little more now for better performance of new properly gapped plugs than have a possible $2000 bill somewhere down the line? I know i would. But thanks for all of your input.

i went to o'reilleys and bought the motorcraft sp507 for $8.00 each. which is still better then the $12.00 each the dealer wanted to sell them to me for even though they were originally asking $20.00 for them.
