Ok, I heard of them "breaking" so i figured the bottom half seized in the heads and then broke with the rotational torque was applied.
Either way, the new 2piece don't have the same problem?

the new ones arnt two piece plugs they are one now so they dont have this problem again. i just went and picked mine up from the dealer yesterday and made sure that they wouldnt be breaking again and he told me that they are one piece plugs.

i went to a local ford dealer today and they gave part# ptz14f as the updated factory motorcraft plug for my truck. they were asking $20.00 each but the parts guy said he could go down to $12.00 each. im not hurting for cash but damn thats a lot of money for just one spark plug!!
while i was there he was showing me the tsb and it says that fords strongly recommends that when the tech is changing plugs to saturate the plugs with carb cleaner and wait 15 to 30 minutes for the carb cleaner to penetrate the threads before attempting to remove them and when removing the spark plugs to only turn them 1/4 to 1/2 turn at a time.
it also said that the dealer "should" charge for actual labor time not book time.

This is the motorcraft two piece plug, it's crimped at the joint farthest to the right.

i just went and grabbed them out of my truck and the number on the side of the box was SP-507. I asked the dealer before i bought them if they were the two piece ones like the ones in there now and he said no, that they have become one piece plugs now

yea they did they said either run some additative they had through one tank of fuel or they would hook up to my fuel rail and do the injector cleaner and i had them just hook up to the fuel rail and do it that way so it was done quicker. i wouldnt have had it done, but like i said before my dad works that the stealership and i got it done for just the cost of the cleaner. They dealer said they have only broken one plug if they change them right after they do the cleaner processes. BTW i think i am going to have to go back to the dealer and see why the dealer told me that they were 1 piece plugs. That seriously pisses me off that they would lie just so they could sell the plugs?!?!
