2006 F150 throttle body gasket

Anyone who took off their throttle body to clean it, did you replace the o-ring seal like it says to in thr Haynes manual? Just curious if it is absolutely necessary..thanks

okay thanks..i just cleaned the gunk out that i could see while i had my CAI off while i was doing the plugs.
