X2 it's a soldering issue, not the bulb

I have a Ford F150 Lariat and my odometer light just started going out a few weeks back. I was going to follow the instructions that were posted here to fix it, but no time as of yet. But, I have noticed that when it goes out, it is when my heater is on, if I turn the heater off, the odometer light comes right back on. I am praying that I do not have a deeper electrical problem, as I have to drive from Brooklyn, NY to Dallas hauling a uhaul trailer with all of my belongings. Should I fix it before the trip, or wait until I get situated in Dallas? Thanks for any input. Happy New Year!

It shouldn`t be a problem you just won`t be able to use the milage or the trip counter. Maybe read the milage between blinks. Mine has been blinking for over a year and it`s just now starting to stay off.
