Default 2005 X-Cab Floor Mats for Vinyl Floor...

I put this in the aftermarket sub-forum and got a lot of lookers and no response so I figured I would try here. If it's the wrong place sorry.

I've been looking high and low for true fit floor mats. Birthday is coming up and the wife wants to get them for my truck I just purchase back in March.

I have an 05 F 150 X-tended 4x4 with black vinyl floor. The interior is grey on black so I was looking for grey floor mats.

I wanted to go with Weathertech Digital fit or Wade but both say they will not fit with factory vinyl floors.

What are you folks using with vinyl floors???

Nothing! This is why I bought a truck with the rubber/vinyl floor! I simply use a small wisk broom to sweep the floor clean. I take a damp rag and wipe it clean if I get any dirt/mud on it.

Can't do that with carpet! Why would you want to use a vinyl floor type mat on what you already have? Save your money, and enjoy the ease of cleaning you have already.

Mines starting to bubble up from.my feet moving on it. Having a manual doesn't help keepmy feet still. Thought about taking it out and lineX-ing the floor

+1 my vinyl is bubbling slightly also, ima going to pick up a China flea market set and use a little 3m to hold it down so I don't put a hole in it. Lol

My stx has the vinyl floor also. Looked high and low online for mats.
Some may wonder why, but living in the upper mid west it was important to me to keep snow/slush and salt out of the crack by the door sill.
And keep the floor from getting slick.
I ended up at wally world.
Got some black mats with none of those bumps on the back that embed the mat into the nap of carpet.
Trimmed them to fit.
After winter I washed them off and used the whisk broom and a wet rag on the floor of the truck and back in they go. Cost me all of $20 for 2 front and 2 rear (for Supercab).
Wife thought I was nuts but that's ok. I am happy and it is my truck honey!

Forgot about the snow belt truckers! In the south, all we have to worry about is the occasional beach sand.

It's tough living in Florida....

Sad they left out the vinyl floor folks when spending all that money on making after market mats. I thought of a reason today though. I think it has to be similar to the Toyota floor mat issues. Vinyl on vinyl isn't a good mix and could slip against the accelurator. If that happens we all know the out come. But if it's a snug fit as it saids it is I don't see an issue...

I wonder too does the vinyl flooring have the safety hook for the drivers floor mat to keep it from slipping like the carpet does?

Use super strong Velcro... So you can take them out easier.
