I just bought it 2 weeks ago and now its all up to snuff and safe. Seems like once its been run for a while I get an intermittent crunch for a second or 2 around the front drivers side. Almost like the tire is crunching a piece of plastic. I can feel the wheel vibrate slightly too. I had a similar sound in an old vw when the traction control failed. This started happening when I replaced the rear ABS sensor because it was faulty. When it happens no lights flash on the dash at all, like ABS or 4x4. It really does sound like something is trying to activate but just for a split second. I was thinking if I pulled the ABS fuse and it stopped doing it I could narrow it down to that, or eliminate it if it keeps happening. Which fuse do I pull?

I was thinking that too so I drive in 4x4 only today and had it happen again.
