Is is possible to put in a 6 speed auto-transmission to replace the 4 speed that is in there now?

To my knowledge, no one I know has done it. That's a lot of money to throw at something like this when it would probably just be more economical to get a newer truck with a different transmission.

Don't think the 6 speed can be bolted to a 5.4..
