Default 2005 F150 XLT Extra Dash Wires ??????

I took off the dash trim to get to my radio and noticed extra wires plugged into the trim piece next to the cigarette lighter. It's just a dead end. What could they be for?

I didn't think Ford came out with traction control in their trucks til later, like in 07 or 08?

Why would it just be a dead end there?

That is the Traction Control. On the Harleys, the cig lighter and TCS (traction control system) are next to each other on that same area (i bought a harley bezel and realized this). Just like many of us that are upgrading are finding out, Ford did a great job wiring all of these trucks. Rather than make 5 different harnesses, Ford made 1 major harness with dead end connections, which is easier and more cost effective than reinventing 3 others. All of our trucks are 7-pin trailer ready, we just need to add the harness and add a brake controller (brake controller connection is already under dash near OBDII; just another example of Ford thinking ahead).

Thanks guys!

So, if I found a traction control switch it should work or is the other end a dead end too?

I assume it would go into the ECM and then it should work. But I am not positive so verification is a must.
