Default 2005 f150 wrench light need help

Hello everyone I'm new to this site. I have a 2005 f150 4x4 bought it used. After owning it a couple months the wrench light came on sometimes the engine died once it was restarted it would run fine for a while. So I replaced the throttle body with a new one and since it still does the same thing sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I'm at my wits end with it Help Please!

That's the powertrain/all wheel drive malfunction light. Have you checked for any codes?

Another thought... throttle position sensor? Since you replaced the throttle body already that's the other thing I would check.

The new throttle body came with a new throttle position sensor. Are you thinking its bad?

Why did you change the throttle body? Were you just guessing? Seems like you should've checked for codes first.

I know a bad sensor could put the truck into "limp" mode and light up that wrench light. Without running codes it's hard to really say anything for sure. Have you tried taking it to get scanned? Before I got my scanner I used to go to Autozone and they'd scan codes for free.

Default Get the 5$ torque pro app

With a cheap amazon bluetooth reader /and an old android phone you will have the best scanner . Come back and list the exact codes .
Doubtful you had two bad tps sensors . You will be happy with the torque pro .

If he got a Throttle body with a Gen 2 TPS it is possible. I just bought a new gen 3. The 1st and 2nd gen ones are bad.

Does hit have a paper filter or does it have a K&N filter or the like? Just wondering if the mass air flow sensor could be getting dirty?
