Default 2005 f150 no odometer

I just bought a 2005 f150 and the odometer does not work. The green light comes on but it doesn't show any numbers would this be a fuse or the cluster panle?

This problem is starting to come up. It's starting to happen to my 04 f150 the light actually went out a few months ago not my odometer is starting to flicker every now and then. I have not attempted to fix this due to not having any time but here is the link on how to fix it

If you can tap the cluster and get it to work, or if you hold it on both ends and gently twist it and it works, then it's most likely a broken solder joint, very common in instrument clusters. Unlikely, but if you can pinpoint the broken solder you can clean it and resolder it, and you should be alright.

If neither of these options work, your LCD unit failed, and the only remaining option is to replace the instrument cluster.
