Truck has 63000 miles never had a problem, til today. Went to store and as I was going down hill it stalled. Fired right back up and idles fine, but when you try to accelerate ,it wants to die. It has a new fuel filter. Idles smooth, any ideas?

Default Well see if some codes are logged go to autozone they do it free

First thing comes to mind is corroded fpdm on rear axle ,very common , intermittent fuel .
There really isn't much to go on here. get some codes do some testing .

More like your Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) as mentioned by Redfish .. we very rarely see our year 04-08 with a bad fuel pump.

x4 on the FPDM I'd bet that fixes your problem.
