I have a lariat and i know for a fact i don't have any backlighting during the daytime (or when lights are totally off). So if this is the case, OP does't have a problem other than with his vision.

post up a pic of this. I have an XLT and yea there is no back lights on during the day. And if you can't see that, then you shouldn't be driving! or you need to remove the 2% window tint from all your windows and take off your sun glasses. I kid, but if you can post up a pic that would be great.

A pic would make a huge difference, Oregon. That way we can see what you're explaining.
