Actually 100k is pretty normal now. My OEM plugs went 100k and looked very good. When I did my gf's Corolla at 105k, they looked normal too. Really, you don't need to change them out unless you have an obvious miss or reduction in gas mileage. Of course this only applies to the 4.6, 4.2, and 5.4 revised heads. Do NOT stretch the 1 piece plugs out longer haha

I'm using NGK platinum's (G-Power) in my 2006 4.6 and had no problems whatsoever.
I'm running NGK Iridium IX in the wife's car after using NGK G-Power. With the Iridium IX's the acceleration is smooth as butter.....a noticeable difference.
Next time I change plugs in my 4.6, I'll try the Iridium's.
