Default Mine is doing the same thing

Mine is doing the exact same thing . Dean did you ever find out what the cause was. Any help from anyone would be much appreciated.

I would replace the iwe solenoid I just got mine back from the dealer I woulda did the work myself but is still under warranty my truck started popping out of 4x4 then I ground out the teeth so bad on the drivers side iwe it would engage but would just grind the thing that happens to the solenoid is water would drain on it short it out and get water in the vacume lines

hi Ryan, i dont see how the iwe solenoid would allow it to have 4 wheel in reverse but not in forward unless i am missing something. i am thinking possibly shift fork. Thanks for your reply

Mine did the exact same thing I had 4x4 in reverse

I havent had a chance to spend time on mine it is still doing it, I live on the beach so it sucks i have to drive in in reverse and out in reverse LOL

My 06 has this problem also. I have tried everything except replacing the t/c. You can remove the t/c motor and manually select 4hi by turning the selector shaft on the t/c. This didn't help me any. Still have the problem. I have found a few t/c locally so I might just swap one and see if that fixes it.

Ford replaced the drivers side iwe under warranty and they said I had to replace the iwe solenoid fixed it for me
